This spring we are launching the first-ever SHE Inspiring Women Awards 2008 and we would like you to nominate your own choices. Over the next few weeks, we will be announcing a panel of highly-respected and eminent women, themselves inspiring and from various walks of life, who will act as judges to help us choose the final winners from our shortlist.

Strong, inspirational women are an ongoing theme in SHE magazine. And now, to celebrate some of their amazing achievements, we want YOUR help in finding and honouring them.

You know who they are. Ordinary women who lead extraordinary lives.

They could be selfless, unassuming mothers who bring so much to their local communities or well-known entrepreneurs who've carved a firm path to career success.

They could be daring adventurers who've shown astonishing courage and determination or women with disabilities who have fulfilled their dreams against the odds.

Whatever they've accomplished, they all have one thing in common - they are truly inspiring women. Women who really make a difference. Women who have achieved great things, often in the face of adversity.

All the women short-listed for an award will then be invited to a celebratory lunch to be held in London at the end of April and hosted by Editor of SHE, Sian Rees.The guest speaker will be Nina Barough, founder of SHE's favourite charity Walk the Walk, who organise the famous fundraising Moonwalk Events in London and Edinburgh and The Sunwalk in Bristol. To nominate your Inspiring Woman send an email to editor@shemagazine.co.uk telling us:

The name of the person you'd like to nominate

Your reasons for nominating her

Your own name, address and contact details

Please note that the final deadline for all nominations is 15th February 2008

Winner Categories
There will be six winners, one for each of the following categories:

1. The Champion
A woman who has pushed herself to physical extremes in order to achieve success in sport, exploration and/or adventure.

2. The Humanitarian
A woman who has shown unparallelled levels of selflessness and humanity to alleviate the suffering of, or contribute to, the wellbeing of those less fortunate.

3. The Businesswoman
A woman who has shown unprecedented entrepreneurial spirit in her bid to achieve success in business or industry.

4. The Survivor
A woman who has triumphed in the face of extreme adversity, be it as a result of illness, traumatic event or other exceptional circumstances.

5. The Public Face
A woman in the public eye or media who has made an incredible contribution to society.

6. The Innovator / Pioneer
A woman who has made a ground-breaking impact in medical science or social development either at home or in developing countries
