Chocolate and banana loafThis bread can be stored in an airtight container for 1 week – if it's not devoured immediately!

300g (11oz) ripe bananas 225g (8oz) self-raising flour100g (3½oz) butter150g (5oz) caster sugar2 eggs65g (2½oz) dark chocolate chips175g (6oz) mixed dried fruit50g (2oz) dark chocolate, broken into small pieces50g (2oz) white chocolate, broken into small piecesMini white and dark chocolate eggs, to garnish (optional) 1. Preheat the oven to 170°C/150°C fan/Gas 3. Peel and mash the bananas, add the flour, butter, sugar, eggs and chocolate chips and blend together. You can do this in a food processor, or by hand in a mixing bowl.
2. Add the dried fruit. Spoon the mixture into a 1kg (2lb) non-stick loaf tin, spread evenly and bake for 1½ hours. The loaf is done when a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean. Cool the loaf on a wire rack.
3. Melt the dark and white chocolate in 2 separate heatproof bowls over pans of simmering water (the bases should not touch the water) until smooth. Set aside to cool, and then drizzle the melted chocolate over the loaf. Garnish with mini white and dark chocolate eggs. Serve cut into thick slices.
